Messaging in OMX

Within the OMX platform, you are able to send secure messages through the internal messaging system. Note that the messaging system is company to company and not user to user, so messages you send can be viewed by any user at the recipient's company. 

There are two ways to send a direct message in OMX: from the company's public profile and from your inbox on your dashboard. 

1. When viewing any public profile on OMX, you can click the 'Send Message' button to send a message directly to that company. 


2. You are now able to compose a message to be sent directly to that company. Note that messages containing ITAR or Controlled Goods or any other sensitive materials should not be sent through the OMX platform. 


You can also send messages to companies directly from your OMX Dashboard.

1. From your dashboard, hover your mouse over the 'Messages' tab until a drop down menu appears. From this menu, select 'Compose' to initiate a message. 


2. Begin typing any company/ organization name in the 'To' field and a drop down menu will appear. Continue typing until you find the company you wish to message, note that a check mark next to a company name denotes at least one user from that company is on OMX. 


Messaging a company through OMX is a great way to make introductions and find the relevant contact for your company's purposes. Messages can also be an important part of a prime's causality requirements when reporting to the Government.
