Last Updated: Jun 29, 2017 02:06PM EDT
Within the OMX platform, you are able to create, respond to, and view opportunities, RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. Opportunities can be easily accessed and filtered from the company dashboard, or from the 'Opportunities' tab.

You can access and manage all of your opportunities from the 'Opportunities' tab by clicking 'My Opportunities.'

Directly from your 'Opportunities' page, you will be able to manage all of the opportunities that you have posted and any proposals that you have submitted. The 'Opportunities' page is also another space where you can search for new opportunities by filtering by keyword, type of opportunity, country and source.

Posting an Opportunity:
From the Dashboard, you can create opportunities by selecting 'Create an Opportunity,' 'Create an Event,' or 'Create an Employment Opportunity' based on the relevance to your opportunity under the 'Opportunities' tab.

Once you have selected the type of opportunity that you wish to post, fill in all information relevant to the opportunity. If you have selected 'Create an Opportunity' you will be able to select the specific type of opportunity that you would like to post. For example, whether you are looking to post a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Expression of Interest etc.

Under the recipients section of the 'Create an Opportunity' page, you can adjust who will be able to view your opportunity. For instance, you can limit the opportunity by country, choose to send it directly to specific organizations or send it to a shortlist of organizations that have been associated with a tag in OMX. By selecting the SAP Ariba checkbox, you are able to share your opportunity with the SAP Ariba network, allowing it to be bid on by a network of networks of suppliers globally.

You can also upload any supporting documentation to your opportunity by dragging and dropping the document into the document field or uploading from your documents. When you are finished adding all of the necessary information to your opportunity, you can can click either 'Save as Draft' to continue working on your opportunity at a later time or 'Publish' to allow suppliers to start bidding on your opportunity.

Managing Opportunity Responses:
Also from your opportunities page, under the 'Posted Opportunities' section, you can view all of the responses to the opportunities and RFPs that you have posted. To view the responses and questions asked regarding a specific opportunity, click the opportunity title.

Once on the specific opportunity page, you can view the proposals that have been submitted in response to your opportunity. Under the 'Proposals Submitted' area, you can view a proposal by clicking the 'Proposal' button or view the company's profile to learn more about them by clicking the 'Profile' button.

You can also view the responses from suppliers in SAP Ariba by clicking, 'View Ariba Responses'. You will be directed to the opportunity posting on Ariba. Learn more about posting opportunities to and viewing responses from SAP Ariba by clicking here

Responding to Questions about your Opportunity:
Also on your specific opportunity page, you can respond to questions posted in response to your opportunity. Questions are asked in a fair, open and transparent manner in which other OMX users will be able to see the question and its response. Only the administrator of the opportunity will be able to see the company name that asked the question. When you have finished writing your response, click 'Submit.'

Selecting a Winning Bidder:
When you are finished reviewing your responses, you can select a winning bidder directly through OMX by clicking the 'Select as winning bidder' button in the upper right hand corner of the supplier's proposal.

Supplier Responses:
On the supplier side, suppliers will be able to view and respond to the opportunities that you post. From their company Dashboard:

Once they have found an opportunity that they are interested in, they can click on the opportunity to view more information, ask questions and respond to the opportunity.
