Nomenclature Changes in OMX

Last Updated: Jul 11, 2017 04:22PM EDT
With OMX's recent updates, you may have noticed some changes in the way we refer to things within the platform. The largest changes mostly affect the offset and project management features in OMX and have been made to better align OMX with international offset programs and programs outside of defence.
  • Projects to Programs - The overarching procurement program or bid that you are working on are no longer referred to as "Projects" in OMX. Instead, they are now called "Programs". Learn more about starting programs in OMX here
  • Transactions to Projects - The individual activities with a supplier for a program are now called "Projects" in OMX. Click here to learn about projects in OMX.
  • Transactions - "Transactions" in OMX now refer to Projects that have been shared with a recipient. Within OMX, you will only interact with "Transactions" as a recipient or if a prime or tier 1 has shared a project with you. If you are a Tier 1 supplier or a recipient to a program, click here to learn more about transactions and project sharing.
